We went to Seaside Oregon with friends at the end of October. It was unusally warm for October so we took advantage of it. We had a great time playing on the beach and enjoyed the time away.
| Playing in the sand at Seaside. |
| Genna trying to pick which toy to play with first. |
| Erick and Joe building a mountain for the girls to play on. |
| Found one, but still not sure. |
| Daddy & Genna foot prints. |
Erick tried to get Genna into the water. She was pretty scared of it.
She didn't even like the sand on her bare feet. Took a lot of convincing
to get her to let us take her shoes off. |
| Genna finally decided to try playing with the sand and the toys. |
| Trying to get a family picture at the beach. Not so easy. |
| Running away from the water. Not liking it at all. |
| Little buddies running away from the ocean waves. |
| Genna and her friend Addisyn playing in the trench their daddy's built. |
Once Genna saw Addisyn playing with the sand, she decided it was okay
to play with it and get dirty. |
| Having fun with the buckets. |
| Erick thought it'd be fun digging a giant hole. |
Then he stuck his head in it.... Silly daddy. Genna and Addisyn
got in it too. They all had lots of fun with the hole in the sand. |
| Genna taking on the mountain of sand. |
| This is the beach house we used for the weekend. It was amazing! |
| An amazing sunset. Perfect ending to a great time on the beach. |
| Morning view from the living room. It was cloudy, but still beautiful. |
There is a camping area in Cannon Beach not too far from where we stayed in Seaside.
There are usually lots of bunnies but we could only find these two. |
| I think his name is Jack. What a cute little bunny! |
Shocker of the century, Genna kept chasing the bunnies so we couldn't
get too close to feed them. Any time they poked their heads out
Genna and Addisyn got so excited and ran to them to feed them. |
| Here is some food the manager gave the girls to feed the bunnies. |
The manager of the park was helping the girls find the
the bunnies so they could feed them. |
| I finally got a decent shot before they ran under the office again. |
These next 3 pictures are out of order. This is at the end of the day
and the girls are playing before bed. |
Not sure what game they thing they're playing.
But they had fun anyways. |
| Playing horsey with Eirck. Geanna's favorite game. |
After the bunnies we went to Astoria to the Aquatic center to swim.
Genna did not like the water at first. |
There was a little wadding pool for little kids.
Genna was able to get used to the water there. She and Addisyn had lots of fun
playing with the water falls and all the toys. |
We found life vests for the girls to wear.
Genna saw the duckie and had to wear it. |
After a while she got used to the idea of swimming. I think she
watched Addisyn having fun in it and decided it was okay.
She even swam around with out her vest. |
After swimming came nap time. I love vacations where you get a nap.
We went to the board walk to play around at the different activities they have there.
For some reason Genna hates carousels. She did not want to go on an animal by herself.
It took a lot of convincing to get her to even sit with Erick and go for a turn.
Addisyn had no problem going by herself. She loved the carousel.
Daddy and Genna walking down the board walk to the aquarium.
Unfortunately it was already closed for the day.
I love this picture.
Another attempt at a family portrait. Not too shabby for taking it myself.
I got the idea for this shot from a friend of mine. I love it!
Erick and Joe had to have their "I can play better than you" tournament.
I think they each won a game before the girls got too bored.
The girls were the cheerleaders for their daddy's games.
 .
When bedtime came, it was time for singing and stories.
Getting all loaded up for the trip home. We had a great time at the beach.
Hopefully we'll be able to do it again soon.
Genna played hard with Addisyn. She was out for a while.
I think the vacation wore her out.
